The LEC-100 Weighmaster Electronic Seed Scale combines the reliability of our previous scales with the accuracy of electronics. As with our other scales, the LEC-100 features a compact size that can be mounted in a minimum space. Electronic load cells and instrumentation from GSE replace our previous counter balance weighing method. The to

uch screen operator display can be remotely mounted, and it has been designed for future connectivity with other Lubbock Electric Company products such as EAGL.SYS®. The upper and lower hoppers have air cylinder operated ‘clamshell’ style doors that dump cleanly and have maximum clearance above the seed plug or vacuum. The scale is square and open at the bottom or can be furnished with an optional transition to a standard seed plug. The housing is heavy gauge steel and all moving parts are 1/4" steel for long life. The LEC-100, which measures just 45" Tall x 45" Long x 26" Wide (not including bottom transition hopper) is ideal for retrofitting to existing plants

where room is limited. The LEC-100 is dimensionally interchangeable and will fit back in the same space as our older LEC-40 scales.

The operation is much like our older scales --- the seed is weighed in the bottom hopper and the top hopper blocks off the incoming flow while weighing. When the press turns, the remaining seed is weighed to complete the total for that bale.

The operator control panel touch screen display contains numerous other functional features. The last three bales remain in view, and a preset value can turn on a warning light to alert the ginner that it is almost time to cut a bale. The hopper doors can be manually opened to permit continuous ginning should the seed scales malfunction. Separate adjustments are available through a password protected screen for regular operation versus seed catches.

An easy means to batch weigh seed larger than one bale increments is also available.

We all realize that cotton seed is the worst offender when it comes to airborne lint and fine flyings in the gin. The constant action of the air cylinder

s on our seed scales only makes it worse. Now, there's a solution available in the form of a kit to enclose the major openings of the scale, while containing access doors for maintenance and Plexiglas windows to allow constant inspection of the working parts. A transition on the top facilitates connection to existing air lines to pull a suction on the scale.
