The LEC-500 retrofit scale platform provides a simple check to verify continuing accuracy at the bale scale. This unit comes complete with a 500 lb. certified weight which is lifted onto the scale load cells with three miniature air cylinders. The system can be programmed to automatically test itself after a preset number of bales has been weighed. Should the scale weight differ from the 500 lb. certified weight, an error message will alert the operator that the scale is not weighing properly.
The unit is made of a rugged steel frame that measures only 32" x 48" x 6" tall. It is designed for easy retrofit to existing bale scale installations. In some applications, the existing scale instrument may even be re-used with the new platform (for cost savings).
The system is compatible with EAGL.SYS® as well as other fine Lubbock Electric products. And as with our other products, it is backed by the best service organization in the gin industry!

Close-up of scale showing air hoses and the enclosure which houses the summing card. This is a Lummus bale handling system that had a Fairbanks scale and platform. The LEC-500 platform was exactly 1-1/2" shorter than the existing platform, making this a minimal millwright project for the gin crew. |

In this installation the existing Fairbanks scale instrument was re-used with the new platform and load cells. The entire installation took less than one day for the gin crew to mount the platform then less than one day for LECO technicians to rewire and reconnect the electronics. |
