The LECO logo actually comes from the electrical symbol for a pilot light in a motor control circuit. The purpose of a pilot light is to indicate machine status, either “ON” or “OFF”. The letter(s) in the center could either indicate the color of the light or could indicate a special message engraved in the lens of the light. “In our business and logo, we use LECO interchangeably with Lubbock Electric Co.,” explains Steve Moffett, General Manager. “Tilting the logo indicates that we have a new, aggressive attitude toward customer service and we are willing to go beyond the norm to take care of our customers whenever and wherever they need us.
